What kind of maintenance is required for upright/spin/recumbent bikes?Updated a year ago

Like all machines it is recommended to do regular maintenance and cleaning for the equipment.

Cleaning can be done with a damp cloth to wipe off sweat and dust. Make sure to us dry cloth on any electrical parts (e.g. display). 

Maintenance can include:

• Pedals, seats and hardware need to be checked for re-tightening when needed.
• Battery powered displays will need to replace battery if the screen is not as clear.
• For friction type spin bikes: Lubrication for the flywheel is recommended to reduce noise. Spray a little bit of silicon on a cloth and run it on the sides of the flywheel. 
• For recumbent bikes: Lubrication of the seat rails.
