What is Red Light Therapy (RLT)?Updated 7 hours ago

Red Light Therapy uses visible red wavelengths of light, typically between 620nm and 700nm, to stimulate cells near the surface of the skin.

The light is absorbed by mitochondria (the "powerhouses" of cells), which can increase cellular energy production (ATP), helping support repair and recovery processes.

Red light is primarily used for:

  • Skin rejuvenation and anti-ageing
  • Supporting collagen and elastin production
  • Reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles
  • Improving skin tone and texture
  • Supporting wound healing
  • Reducing redness and inflammation
  • Assistingmuscle recovery after exercise
  • Supporting joint comfort

Because red light is visible and doesn't penetrate extremely deeply, it mainly affects the skin and tissues closer to the surface.
