Is maintenance required for my treadmill?Updated 10 months ago
Your lifespan treadmill is very simple to maintain.
All maintenance requirements and steps for your specific treadmill is included in the product manual.
Here is a simple breakdown of the maintenance requirements below:
- Lubricate the treadmill base with a silicon oil or spray. Generally required every 2-3 months depending on use.
You can purchase silicon spray from our online store or your local hardware store. We recommend using 100% pure silicon (Or Helmar brand) so they are not abrasive on your rollers.
- Check and adjust belt alignment and tighten (if required) as overtime they can move or loosen. Important Note: Do not over tighten as it will stretch the belt.
- Keep the machine clean! Wipe down after every use and (if the treadmill folds) clean out the dust underneath. This will keep your motor running smoothly!
- If you notice any broken/faulty components. Get them replaced.
- Make sure to turn off the machine from the Power switch when not in use.
- Brush Motors: If your motor is not Brushless, you will need to check the brushes and replace if it is 5mm or less.
